About:

Ward Melville High School’s Key Club (which includes studnet athletes) hosted its annual Turkey Teacher Competition Can Drive throughout the month of November, during which students and staff donated hundreds of nonperishable canned goods for local families in need.

In lighthearted fun, the donations were placed in boxes inscribed with the names of faculty members. The staff member with the most number of donations was named the “winner” of the contest – Allison Kane – and the one with the least number of donations – Kevin Finnerty – was challenged to wear a turkey hat on the day before the holiday break.
